Before (Babies) & After (Babies)

Then-
Me - will you wash the chicken?
Hubby- uuhhh , put the chicken in the bowl & put some water- I will wash it then
Me- (snort) Better I only do it..
Now,
Me - will you feed the babies their lunch meanwhile I will wash the chicken?
Hubby- Don’t worry, I will wash the chicken for you. Let me try my way of cooking also.

Then-
Inlaws/ Other relatives- we are coming to visit you
Us- we were planning to go out now so you can come after 9.00 pm
Now,
Inlaws/ Other relatives- we are coming to visit you
Us- we were planning to go out now so you come fast and take care of the kids while we quickly go out and come back

Then-
Maid- I can’t do all this work, I will quit
Me- Fine, you are not indispensable, I can find another one. (oh, my god hope she doesn’t go)

Now,
Maid- I can’t do all this work, I will quit
Me- You are the best. How can I manage without you? Pleeeease don’t go

Then-
Hubby- don’t pack lunch for me, I will eat in office
Me- when I am there why do you want to eat outside food? I will pack for you & I have already cooked everything
Now-
Hubby- don’t pack lunch for me, I will eat in office
Me-Anyway I haven’t cooked till now, but good you can eat fresh & hot food. It becomes too cold in the Air Con. Actually, better if you eat the office food everyday, what say?

Hi ITR,

Wow. It could not have been more realistic, if only it could have been so humorous too in real life.

art- so true, we r so dependent on maids & they take royal advantage over us
rebel- the v thrill u get when u see them smiling at you will make it feel worth the surrounding trouble
anumita- welcome. u ll definitely be ready when the time comes. watch out!

@- easier & no nonsense too. with babies u have to cajole them, sing & dance for them so that they will oblige u & eat

IQA, mom of 2, starry, ruchika- thanks!
hari- sometimes one does feel like laughing at it...

Kids come first.Don't you think?Let hubby cook for you or eat outside.I was joking but do let him help you.Children do tend to change one's life

Hip grandma- true- priorities change after the little ones join the family!

LOL. Good one. Same scene at home. If I have to pick between taking care of the kid or go to grocery store to get groceries, I would choose the latter. But my wife being as lazy as I am, I ultimately end up taking the kid and going to the grocery store :D

Oh yes, it is unbelievable how much one baby changes in your life and here you have two.
Lovely post.

Just like that said...

Lol Laughed so much over the chicken. The twins truly have your hubby going chicken...;-)
Could identify a lot with the maid too.
