More often than not, on recieving a wedding invite, after a few polite questions, people start recalling details about their own wedding, something that may happened anytime between recent or few decades ago.
It happened when I gave my invitation to my colleuges, relatives, grandparents, bosses... you name it and they were all recalling their wedding. Whenever there was talk of the arrangements for the wedding, people used to discuss what happened in theirs, the clothes they wore and the gifts they received.
A gang of us went to greet the new bride in the neighbourhood. We asked about photographs- out of politeness. There it came out, a preserved, 25 year old album of the parents wedding because the son's wedding album had not yet come!

Hahaha....that was soooooooooo funny!
Reminds me of a post that someone (don't remember who and when..age factor you know :P) had done on shoving photo albums in the faces of guests whether they are interested in looking at them or not! :D
I think it was Usha who wrote about an album being thrust upon the unsuspecting visitor.Well this one was too much.Giving one's own album instead of the son's.So what if it hadn't arrived. We were once treated to a vieo of a wedding because the bride and groom did not turn up, the day being a Tuesday, the in laws wouldn't send them.
True and funny..A very common comparison is to compare the wedding hall and caterer too..status counts a lot too..
Itchy,
I did a post too on the albums!
I somehow cant sit through that!
LOL!I have heard lot of such album stories but showing the parent's album when asked for the bride and bridegroom's takes the cake!!:)
