Rajasthani Art Painting

•This is a Rajasthani Painting reproduced by a local artist using poster colour.
•The unique feature of the painting is the paper on which the painting is done.
•This is an old Revenue Stamp Paper either legally disposed by the government or stolen.
•The stamp papers that are legally disposed off by the government would have a hole punched in the middle. The deals could be on anything ranging from land deals or power of attorney- anything that required a revenue stamp paper. So who knows, you might end up owning a huge piece of property or a power to handle estates or treasures!!!
•The transaction details are printed in Hindi or Urdu or Parsi and the calendar would be the Samvat Calendar.

The sandwiched frame with antique border has a gap around the painting that brings the wall colour into the frame

The featured painting is a representation of Krishna-Balram- which somehow struck a chord in me because of Ojas & Tejas
